Calligraphy workshops in the North East
If you would like to give the art of beautiful writing a go yourself, Creative Calligraphy founder Angela Reed teaches calligraphy throughout the north east of England.
Regular venues include Re-Create Today in Whitley Bay, North Tyneside, From Loft to Loved in Sedgefield, County Durham, and Newcastle Arts Centre in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.
Weekly classes are also held at Mortimer Community Centre in South Shields. If you would like to add your name to the waiting list for a place, please get in touch.
Angela is also happy to offer private workshops for individuals and groups, as well as community organisations and schools.

Copperplate Calligraphy

£60Copperplate is a traditional calligraphy script written with a pointed nib and a sound basis for more modern and expressive styles.
In this friendly and informal workshop, calligrapher Angela Reed will help you get to grips with using a dip pen and ink, before guiding you through the basic strokes required to form lower case and upper case letters and join them together to create beautifully handwritten words.
All abilities welcome.
