Calligraphy workshops in the North East
If you would like to give the art of beautiful writing a go yourself, Creative Calligraphy founder Angela Reed teaches calligraphy throughout the north east of England.
Regular venues include Re-Create Today in Whitley Bay, North Tyneside, From Loft to Loved in Sedgefield, County Durham, and Newcastle Arts Centre in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.
Weekly classes are also held at Mortimer Community Centre in South Shields. If you would like to add your name to the waiting list for a place, please get in touch.
Angela is also happy to offer private workshops for individuals and groups, as well as community organisations and schools.

Foundational Hand Calligraphy

£29Foundational Hand is a traditional calligraphy script written with a broad-edged pen and a great introduction for beginners to ‘the art of beautiful writing’. In this workshop, calligrapher Angela Reed will help you get to grips with a calligraphy pen, before moving on to basic strokes and the creation of letter forms. You will then be guided through the process of creating a hand-lettered quote to take home.
Please bring lunch with you. Drinks will be provided.
