Calligraphy workshops in the North East
If you would like to give the art of beautiful writing a go yourself, Creative Calligraphy founder Angela Reed teaches calligraphy throughout the north east of England.
Regular venues include Re-Create Today in Whitley Bay, North Tyneside, From Loft to Loved in Sedgefield, County Durham, and Newcastle Arts Centre in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.
Weekly classes are also held at Mortimer Community Centre in South Shields. If you would like to add your name to the waiting list for a place, please get in touch.
Angela is also happy to offer private workshops for individuals and groups, as well as community organisations and schools.

£35Italic is a traditional style of calligraphy, written with a broad-edged pen, which can be very expressive and decorative. Join Angela Reed, from Creative Calligraphy, as she guides you through the process of using a broad-edged pen to form an Italic alphabet. All materials are provided and are yours to keep, so you continue your calligraphy journey at home. Refreshments are also provided.
