World Calligraphy Day 2019
World Calligraphy Day is just around the corner.
Manuscript Pen Company is once again marking the occasion, on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, by supporting Birmingham Children’s Hospital via the Say Something Special campaign.
Manuscript is encouraging people to put pen to paper and write a letter for the children, as well as donating materials to the hospital for their arts and crafts activities.
With the summer holidays underway, you might be looking for creative pursuits to jeep your children and grandchildren busy!
My two – James, 9, and Sophie, 7, are already on board with the idea and can’t wait to create something special with Manuscript’s new range for children.
The Lionheart Collection
The Lionheart Collection is a range of writing and colouring products for early learners, accompanied by 10 fun and exciting characters.
The range includes a 3-in-1 pencil crayon, superwashable markers, broad tip pens, fine tip pens, double-ended pens and activity books.
Manuscript has kindly donated two bundles of goodies for Creative Calligraphy to give away.
The first includes an activity book for children aged 3 to 5 and a pack of 3-in-1 pencil crayons.
The second includes an activity book for children aged 5 to 7 and a pack of superwashable markers.

Say Something Special
World Calligraphy Day launched in 2017 and is now in its third year.
A spokesman for Manuscript Pen Company said: “As part of World Calligraphy Day, Manuscript Pen Company is partnering with Birmingham Children’s Hospital for the second year on the ‘Say Something Special’ campaign.
“The campaign encourages people to handwrite a special letter, message or create an illustration to send to the children at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
“Last year we received over 100 letters and notes from all over the world! These varied from beautiful calligraphic notes, to handwritten stories from celebrities, calligraphers and artists, schools, children and adults!”
