Calligraphy workshops in the North East
If you would like to give the art of beautiful writing a go yourself, Creative Calligraphy founder Angela Reed teaches calligraphy throughout the north east of England.
Regular venues include Re-Create Today in Whitley Bay, North Tyneside, From Loft to Loved in Sedgefield, County Durham, and Newcastle Arts Centre in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.
Weekly classes are also held at Mortimer Community Centre in South Shields. If you would like to add your name to the waiting list for a place, please get in touch.
Angela is also happy to offer private workshops for individuals and groups, as well as community organisations and schools.

£15Copperplate is a traditional style of calligraphy that forms the basis for more modern and expressive variations of the artform. Join Angela Reed, from Creative Calligraphy, as she guides you through the basics of writing with a pointed nib, before moving on to the Copperplate alphabet. All materials are provided and are yours to keep, so you can continue your calligraphy journey at home. Refreshments are also provided. Part of the Adult Learning Programme at The Shipley Art Gallery.
