Embellish Box Giveaway: Beside the Seaside
I’m lucky enough to live by the seaside. Always have and probably always will.
I grew up in Sunderland – the city by the sea – and we’d regularly walk down to Roker or Seaburn for some sea air, a bit of rockpooling and some fish and chips.
Watching the waves crash against Roker Pier is still one of my favourite things to do.
Now I live in South Shields and we’re literally a stone’s through away from some of the best beaches in the world, in my opinion. Give me Sandhaven over the Algarve any day!
Are you spending summer at the seaside?
With the kids now off school for the summer, we’re hoping to spend some sunny days at the beach, although we do trudge along the sand in all weathers.
If you’re heading for the coast over the holidays, I’ve got the perfect thing to get you in the mood!
I’m delighted to have been given a papercutting subscription box from Embellish to give away – and the theme is ‘Oh I Do Like to be Beside the Seaside’.
I tried papercutting myself for the first time before Christmas and it’s my intention to get back into over the summer as I found the process really enjoyable.
The Embellish Box is a themed subscription box for papercutters, containing papercutting templates, backing papers and themed gifts.
Amy Purdie, who lovingly curates each box, said: “This box has a seaside theme, so is all about sunshine, sand, strolling along the prom, seagulls and fishing. The perfect box to cut over the summer, especially if it isn’t as sunny as you’d hoped!”
The prize includes a cutting mat, a handle and a pack of blades, so the winner has everything they need to get started.
All you have to do is fill in the Rafflecopter entry form below. The closing date is Friday, August 4.
We are not lucky enough to live near the sea but when I visit, I love to collect shells of all types. My favourite place in the world is Sanibel Island.
I work in the classic seaside resort of Bognor Regis but never get to spend as much time on the beach as I’d like! Similarly, I don’t papercut as much as I would like either – this would hopefully put both of those things right.
I’ve always loved living beside the seaside and have moved from one coast to the other. I love it in all weathers from plodging in the sea in summer to wrapping up to blast off the cobwebs in winter
We love rock pooling and eating fish & chips that taste good x
Wow! I’m really quite envious of your lifestyle But in a nice way, I love the seaside, I would take my girls at every opportunity when they were younger. We would usually go to Camber Sands which is about an hour away from our home in Kent. Ice creams, sand castles and fish and chips! The best of days for sure x
