When it comes to your choosing your wedding stationery, it is not only about choosing a design, but also the card stock your design will be printed on.

A good design will look good on any paper, but the choice of card stock contributes to the overall feel and look to your stationery.

The card stock should compliment the style and tone of your theme.

Helen Scott Design offer a wide range of card stock and below is a handy guide to help you select the best one for you.

Standard

Our standard card stock is a white, uncoated 325 gsm high quality card. With its soft touch, printed designs look clean and crisp. This card is also perfect for writing on.

Silk

The Silk stock adds that extra luxurious feel to your stationery, with an extra thick 350 gsm weight. Printed colours appear bright and defined. If you are planning on writing on the invites, or using this stock for rsvp cards, just be prepared to leave some drying time, to avoid smudging.

Kraft

This is one of the most popular card stocks at the moment, as the vintage/shabby chic theme emerges as a big trend this year. Bold colours work best on this smooth surfaced stock.

Pearl

The pearl stock is the ultimate luxury, with its smooth pearlescent shine.  Any design printed on pearl, looks elegant. This is ideal for couples looking for a true gold or silver colour design/font that glistens.

We always select the heaviest card stock, which resists bending and creasing during postage, however lighter weights are available. We also offer brochure stock and lamination options, which we will be happy to discuss with you prior to ordering.
